Tenants given priority when buying BrabantWonen

How does it work?
We offer properties for sale online on Funda and our websites. When we put a property up for sale, anyone (tenants and non-tenants of a housing association) can respond. During the first four weeks that the property is on the market, only tenants of social housing in the municipality are invited to view it. After viewing the property, you can make an offer. Tenants are given the opportunity to submit a single highest bid. If the best bid from a tenant is acceptable, the property is sold to that tenant.
If this is not the case, the property is opened up to everyone. Non-tenants are also invited to view the property and are given the opportunity to submit a single highest bid.

Conditions
There are a number of conditions attached to this priority scheme:
1 You live in social housing owned by a housing association in the municipality, are named on the lease, terminate the lease agreement, and leave the property vacant.
2 You do not have a temporary lease.
3 We only invite tenants to the first viewing round. The property will be awarded to the person with the best acceptable bid.
4 You must be present during the viewing.
5 BrabantWonen determines which owner-occupied properties are subject to the priority scheme.
6 The priority scheme only applies if it is mentioned in
7 You cannot participate in the scheme if there are complaints about nuisance or suspicions of subletting in your current home.
8 When signing the provisional purchase agreement, you sign a statement that you are terminating your rental contract.
9 You will live in the purchased home yourself.
10 You may not sell the purchased home to a third party for the first 6 months.
11 BrabantWonen reserves the right of award.
12 All other conditions for the purchase of a home apply.

Location
Oss, located near the A-50, is a true Brabant city with a Dutch touch. In Oss, you will find Brabant conviviality combined with Dutch practicality and dynamism. You will also find this combination in the countryside around Oss. The river Maas leaves its mark on the river and polder landscape north of Oss. But you will also find forests, heathland, and sandy soils around Oss. The municipality of Oss also includes the church villages of Berghem, Haren, Macharen, and Megen. Together, they have a population of over 70,000.

Oss is easily accessible by both public transport and car. The A50 motorway will take you to 's-Hertogenbosch, Eindhoven, or Nijmegen in no time. Oss is also easily accessible by train. Oss has two NS train stations, and both intercity and local trains stop in Oss. Oss is both a commuter town and a service center for the entire northeast of North Brabant. Both functions have greatly promoted the growth of the range of facilities, so that there are now many more facilities than one would expect based on Oss's population of approximately 65,000. Among other things, there are various accommodations for both indoor and outdoor sports, educational opportunities up to pre-university level, a theater, a library, and a shopping scene that ranges from cozy boutiques to department stores and supermarkets. And despite all this, Oss has lost little of its friendly Brabant character. All in all, Oss has a lot to offer as a place to live.
