Priority tenants when buying BrabantWonen
How does it work?
We offer a property for sale online on Funda and our websites. If we put a house up for sale, everyone (tenants and non-tenants of a housing corporation) can respond. During the first 2 weeks that the house is for sale, only tenants of a social rental house in the municipality are invited for a viewing. After a visit to the house you can make an offer. The tenants are given the opportunity to make the highest bid known once. Is a tenant's best offer an acceptable offer? Then the property will be sold to this tenant.
If this is not the case, the house will be open to everyone. Non-tenants are also invited for a viewing and are given the opportunity to make their highest bid known once.

Conditions
This priority arrangement is subject to a number of conditions:
1 You live in a social rental home of a housing corporation in the municipality, which is stated on the tenancy agreement, terminate the tenancy agreement and leave it empty.
2 You do not have a temporary rental contract.
3 We only invite tenants for the first round of viewings. The house will be awarded to the person with the best acceptable offer.
4 You are present during the viewing.
5 BrabantWonen determines to which owner-occupied homes the priority scheme applies.
6 The priority arrangement only applies if it is stated in the offer text.
7 You cannot participate in the scheme if there are nuisance complaints or suspicions of subletting for your current home.
8 When signing the provisional purchase agreement, you sign a statement that you waive your tenancy agreement.
9 You are going to live in the owner-occupied home yourself.
10 You may not sell the owner-occupied home to a third party for the first 6 months.
11 BrabantWonen retains the right of award.
12 All other conditions for the purchase of a home apply.
