Make sure the rug is washable or stain-resistant so you don't have to worry about permanent damage. Is there enough sunlight coming through windows or skylights for the sun to fade the colours in your rug? If not, choose a grey round rug that won't fade over time if exposed to too much light from windows/rooflights during sunny seasons.
